The Cat Action Trust Cork are a local group of volunteers who rescure and neuter wild colonies. I must give them a mention as I really admire the work they do. Having feral colonies of cats is not good. In fact the collective term for a gathering of cats is a ‘nuisance of cats’ 1 active female cat in a colony is a recipe for disaster. Witin a few years 1 female cat can start an army of cats as the number of new kittens increases exponentially. Sady we can’t rescue every single feral cat so the solution is to keep the feral population down by spaying and neutering. This is exactly what Cat Ation Trust aims to do.
